On May 7–8, customers, partners, and industry colleagues gathered at the Clarion Hotel in Umeå for this year’s upKeeper Open. Two action-packed days focused on client management, security, and innovation.
The conference began with upKeeper Pre Open, a morning session where we reviewed the new features in upKeeper Manager 5.2. We discussed the best practices for managing operating systems and the DSOS, as well as effective ways to package and deploy applications.
After lunch, upKeeper Open really got underway. We started with a presentation on new features in our existing products, new solutions, and our focus moving forward. We then held three workshops:
- Current situation: how our customers work today
- Challenges: AI, security, and new ways to use upKeeper Manager
- Next step: specific proposals on what we should prioritize next
We were also joined on stage by Jenny Ferry, Innovation Leader at Region Västerbotten, who spoke about how to build innovation capacity in a changing organization. Jenny compared innovation to popcorn—ideas pop up at different times, just like popcorn pops, and the key is to catch them before they burn.
The second day of the conference began with a focus on cybersecurity. Peter Larsson, CTO at Orange Cyberdefense, described the current threat landscape and how IT organizations can take a more proactive approach. We wrapped up with a workshop on how to turn ideas into action and discussed what comes next.
