About us
We develop software for client management and IT security, with offices in Umeå and Stockholm. Since our founding in 2008, we have helped IT service providers and organizations with in-house IT departments take control of their devices, and today our solutions manage more than 100,000 clients.
Simplicity is our guiding principle. Our solutions are designed to be easy to understand and easy to use, whether they involve client management, application management, or the management of administrator privileges.
We listen before we build. Through close contact with our customers, we gain insight into what is actually needed and what works in everyday life, and it is that insight that shapes the next version of our products.
Whether you have just a few computers or thousands of devices, the goal is the same: easy management, high security, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing you can get back up and running quickly if something goes wrong.
Our history
It all began back in 2001, when the foundation for what would later become upKeeper Manager was laid. The product was created by technicians, for technicians, with the goal of simplifying their daily work. The company upKeeper Solutions AB was founded a few years later, in 2008, in Umeå. The company’s headquarters are still in Umeå, but we now also have an office in Stockholm.
Our core product, upKeeper Manager, has evolved and changed significantly since its inception, but the basic concept has always remained the same: a client management platform built around simplicity, speed, and efficiency.
Along the way, we’ve added more products, always based on the needs we’ve identified among our customers. Today, we help you not only manage clients, but also keep applications patched and up to date, and securely control local administrator privileges.

How we work
Security is always our top priority, both in how we build our products and in how we work ourselves. We operate in accordance with the ISO 27001 standard, and we are a registered CNA, which means we regularly publish CVEs for vulnerabilities in our own products.
We are a Swedish company, and that shows in the way we work. Both development and operations take place in Sweden, which gives our customers peace of mind regarding where their data is managed and stored.
We also work closely with our customers every day, both digitally and in person. What our customers most often highlight is the opportunity to influence product development, and the fact that help and quick support are always readily available. Every year, we host our user conference, upKeeper Open, where we meet with customers, discuss everything related to client management, and gather ideas for future products and features.
What I’m most proud of in recent years is how much we’ve improved security, both in our products and within the company. But above all, it’s about the culture we’ve built, where cybersecurity is top of mind for all employees.
